It's 2 am: Do you know where your children are?

I crave sleep. There is something about being a Mom -and certainly a single parent- that makes you crave it more than ever. And tonight is no different. I'm exhausted.

Last night I had over twenty friends and kiddos for a fall kickoff party. I stayed up late talking, smiling and enjoying the night as the first fall breezes were felt. Fast forward to now. Dishes have been done and we played all day. I was finally able to watch the season premier of Grey's Anatomy! By myself! Kids were asleep.

That is until I heard my little H-Bug stand up in her crib and say calmly, "GROOOSSSS!" I don't know about in your house, but in mine gross is synonymous with poop. Not to mention she's been battling diaper rash so I'm on the poop patrol. I change her. As we are making our way back to her crib she smiles up at me, tells me "Down Mama" and proceeds to the play kitchen. It's 2 am and I'm making pretend cupcakes with my 1 year old. Sleep can wait. :)
